Presentation... SUCCESS!!!

My presentation is finally over!!! YAY!!!

I have rehearsed this presentation many times over the weekends whenever I have free time in between and several more times yesterday night and this morning to be fully prepared for the meeting. I am currently watching this show To The Beautiful You and this line in the show - "Miracle is another name for great effort" - tells me to keep striving and work hard and it will definitely pay off at the end of the day. It does! :))

I was nervous when we were on our way to Concorde Hotel and the tension just kept building up as clock ticked. It got worse when I saw the number of people in the hall. There were like 100-odd audiences whom I have to present to and this is my first time presenting to a large group of audiences. Even though I was very nervous at the start of the presentation that my heart almost jumped out, after a few slides, I started to calm down. Luckily my RO said that she couldn't tell that I am very nervous at the start. Phew~ When the presentation ended, it felt like I just finished my examination. It was something worth celebrating for so after work, Glenn and I went to Jem to check out the new shopping mall in Jurong.

My RO is very nice. She guided me through the slides last Thursday and gave comments to my trial presentation yesterday. When I suggested to her last Thursday to present instead because I felt that she will present better, she insisted that I present and assured me that I can do it! The most comforting thing is she messaged me at night to tell me that she was very proud of me today and that it was a great presentation. When I thanked her for guiding me, she humbly said that it was my effort. I am really grateful for her help and encouragement. Thank you! :))

Batam, I will be there in 12hrs time!!!

Tomorrow morning will be heading to Batam with Glenn. There is Mac breakfast waiting for me as well at Harbourfront. Can't wait for tomorrow to come. And even managed to clear most of my work by this week so that I wouldn't have to brood over it. It's like all goodies will come at the same time. So exciting!

HTHT with boyfriend :))

It had been a long time since we had a heart to heart talk for so long. It was nearly 2 hours in the car after I was sent home. We talked about the past, the gaps, and the things that we can do to improve the current situation. I think such a chat is necessary from time to time to ensure sufficient communication, which is essential, in a relationship.

Win 5 levels of candy crush with EASE!!!

I completed 5 levels of candy crush today in just 2-train-ride time!!! From level 181 all the way to level 185. It is like so amazing and surprising. I feel lucky today. Haha. :D

After getting my tickets, I started level 186 at night and completed all the way till level 191 despite being so tired. I even dozed off while playing a time game and woke up when it started to countdown. I thought I would have lost the game and can head to bed but surprisingly I completed it with 1 star. Damn lucky. Lol!

Cafe Cartel Dinner & Running Man

Glenn was especially nice to me today.

I told him that but he said that he is nice to me everyday just that I don't realise. He was very active on whatsapp since afternoon, probably because he didn't have much work to do. He asked me out for dinner which he usually doesn't. Most of the time, I am the one who suggested to meet for dinner or to go out together. So that kind of surprised me. He came to my office to pick me up then we headed to Northpoint's Cafe Cartel for dinner. He looked at the movie timing and asked if I want to catch a movie with him. That was rather rare. I told him that I would rather take my time to enjoy dinner together and catch movie another day. We should catch a movie if we decided to have a quick dinner. The 1 pizza & 1 pasta promotional set at Cafe Cartel is quite delicious and I love the root beer float too. The only dissatisfaction I had was the long and draggy serving time. Since we did not catch a movie, we had some time after dinner so I thought we could watch running man together at my house and we did. I enjoyed spending 二人世界 time with him. Thanks for everything tonight. :))

Performance Bonus

I know how much pro-rated performance bonus I will receive today. Though it isn't much and pro-rated but it is still better than nothing. Treat it as a bonus lo. Haha.

Back from 6B class gathering

Just came home from 6B class gathering. We chatted for like 2 hours. Caught up with everyone there - Angie, Yang Sheng, Shi Fang, Yu Wen, Wee Keong, Jing Fen, Shan Wei, Chek How, Tai Fang, Norazli and Kang Rui, on their recent doings and chatted a lot about the past which brought back a lot of happy and unhappy memories. Mostly are funny and childish. All I can say is that this 2 hours of catch up session is definitely worth my time and effort in making a trip down to Northpoint area despite the late meeting time. Hope to see y'all again and hopefully then
more will come. Till we meet again... :))

Let go the glass!!!

A psychologist walked around a room while teaching stress management to an audience. As she raised a glass of water, everyone expected they'd be asked the "half empty or half full" question. Instead, with a smile on her face, she inquired: "How heavy is this glass of water?"

Answers called out ranged from 8 oz. to 20 oz.

She replied, "The absolute weight doesn't matter. It depends on how long I hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it's not a problem. If I hold it for an hour, I'll have an ache in my arm. If I hold it for a day, my arm will feel numb and paralyzed. In each case, the weight of the glass doesn't change, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes." She continued, "The stresses and worries in life are like that glass of water. Think about them for a while and nothing happens. Think about them a bit longer and they begin to hurt. And if you think about them all day long, you will feel paralyzed – incapable of doing anything."

It’s important to remember to let go of your stresses. As early in the evening as you can, put all your burdens down. Don't carry them through the evening and into the night. Remember to put the glass down!

KSL with my family!!!

My family, together with my aunt, my cousins and Glenn, headed out to JB for a day hang out at City Square and KSL mall. We lunched at City Square Kim Gary and headed to KSL mall via cab. Since there were 9 of us, we spitted into 3 per cab. The cab fee ranges from RM7 to RM10. Note not to take the meter blue taxi but rather the red taxi which you can bargain the price up front. Don't take the taxi if the driver requested for a fare higher than RM10. The fare can be as low as RM6.

KBOX at KSL mall is cheap even on weekends. We booked a room for 8 with 6 bottles of beer and 1 jar of chrysanthemum tea and it costed only around S$8 per person. I bought Chef Tony popcorn as well before leaving KSL mall. Later I heard from Jo that the price I bought for is about the same as that in Philippines and much cheaper than those sold in Singapore. It was RM11 for the smaller sized popcorn and RM15 for the bigger sized popcorn. It is really yummy! I realised that watching movie there is very cheap too. It costs only like RM14 for a weekend movie. I did not catch a movie this time round because of insufficient time. I'll watch a movie there someday.

We were lucky that bus S1 was picking up passengers when we decided to leave KSL mall back to City Square. We quickly hopped onto the bus and it costs RM1.50 for each person. The bus journey is about 10 mins. We had dinner at Kenny Rogers and headed home when the shops began to close. Finally home sweet home. Quite a tiring day. But nonetheless, I had fun!

Sweet surprise at 6pm

You are really sweet today.

I'm surprised to receive your call at 6pm, telling me that you were already at the carpark below my workplace. We didn't plan to have dinner together tonight so I didn't expect you to come to my office just to fetch me home then you head home for your dinner. Sometimes you can be really sweet.

Just spoke to you over the phone and realised that you watched me waiting for my lift and entering the lift. You watched and remembered so much details that I took them light-heartedly. You asked if I am happy today. I worried about you taking so much trouble to travel here and there but I really am.

Thanks love. For loving me. For bringing me so much happiness. :))

Good night call

It is rare for you to call me telling me that you called just because you want to hear my voice but you did tonight. It's really sweet. Thanks love. I will definitely have a good night sleep tonight. :))

Valentine's Dinner

In the evening, Glenn came over to my workplace to fetch me so I tried to rush my work in order to leave on time. He did all the planning on where to eat and didn't even want me to set the venue in my iPhone's Google map to direct him to the eating place though his GPS couldn't find the place. I could tell that he really wanted me to enjoy the whole night. We dine at Frienzie Bar & Bistro. Initially we intended to take a walk along the Punggol River, but it started to drizzle when we were done with dinner so we dropped the plan and headed to Glenn's house straight to fetch Cody back to camp. Since we were early to fetch Cody, we waiting in the car at the highest level of a multi-storey car park near his house, laid our seats back and viewed the night sky through the moon-roof. It was beautiful, peaceful and as if the moments and space belong to just both of us. That was the only time I find the moon-roof being so useful. Time flies, it was soon time to fetch Cody and head back home.

That night I thought it would be wasteful to just put the roses into the fridge, like I always do every year and throw away when my mom complains, so I thought it might be good if I arrange them in a vase. I asked for a vase from my dad and read online on how to keep flowers fresh for a longer time. I followed as much as possible- trimmed the bottom of the stems at an angle to let them take up as much water as possible, used warm water for better absorption and add a bit of bleach into the water to keep the water from getting cloudy and inhibit the growth of bacteria. Now the flowers are placed on the coffee table to brighten up my living room. :))

Valentine's Flowers

I knew you were up to something when you suddenly became overly concerned about my lunch time and venue but I did not expect you to come all the way from Tuas to Tiong Bahru Market just to pass me flowers. It really surprised me, just like last year when I woke up to flowers, especially it is raining so heavily outside. Thanks love for buying me happiness every year. :)) It's so sweet to see your message saying, "Flowers of different colors for the different ways you light up my life". See you tonight for dinner fatty! :D:D:D

CNY 2013 Day 1

Just reached home from mahjong session at Eunice's house. Quite tired now and dozed off on Glenn's car when he is fetching me home. I like spending time with Glenn. He assured me that he will buy me a house like Eunice's which is really huge and if he cannot get one in Singapore, he will buy it oversea. Haha. I felt safe and secured when he talks about our future and dote on me.

First day of CNY was really fun and enjoyable. I love going to my uncle's house, chit with my relatives, play poker cards with my cousins and have plenty of goodies to snack on. It is a standard routine every year. Glenn will also come over from his relative's house after he has done with his visiting. It is always filled with jokes and laughter. Almost midnight is different this year because Rong Qing called Glenn for a mahjong session at Eunice's house. Glenn asked me along since Mabel will be tagging along as well. I gladly join since I wanted to spend more time with Glenn and I thought it might be fun. It was. I love CNY! :))

I have to head to bed soon. Later still have visiting to my dad-side-relatives.

Time spent watching RM together

Tonight met Glenn for dinner and watched running man together after dinner. He told me that in his eyes, I have the perfect figure. Silly of him. Thanks for loving me. :)) I hope I can lay in his arms while watching shows together and to sleep when we have our own house just like how we were watching running man tonight. I love you.

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013!!!

I saw this post on Facebook and I think that this is a good practice. Good things happen in life but, often, we are just happy at that point in time and forget soon after. Life is short and yet, we often find it boring and monotone. Perhaps we should note these good things that cross our paths so that one day when we look back, we will find our lives meaningful and awesome indeed!

I should record every good thing that happens in life, starting from today! Since I don't have a jar. I will note these good things in my blog. On 2014 new year's eve or even many years down the road, when I look back, I will realized how fortunate and thankful I am.
